The students of Harcourt School will be having their annual "Gymnastics Demonstration" on Thursday, April 21, 2011 starting at 1:15 pm. Everyone is encouraged to attend...this is a show you won't want to miss!!
The
Miramichi Kinsmen and School District 16 are pleased to accept film
entries for the first annual Kin Film Festival. All School District 16
students are invited to participate. Films can be submitted in one of
two categories: Open and The Kinsmen Category. The top 10 films in each
category will be screened on May 7th, 2011 at Miramichi Empire Studio
5. Cash prizes of $500, $250 and $100 will be awarded for the winners
in each category.

This is "National Volunteer Week" (April 10 - 16). The students and staff want to send a huge "THANK YOU" to all the amazing volunteers here at Harcourt School. There is not a more hard working, dedicated, caring group of people anywhere. For all you do, and there are too many things to mention, we say THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts!
There will be no classes for students next Thursday, March 31 and Friday, April 1 due to curriculum implementation and professional develpment days for teachers. Enjoy your long week-end!!!
Also ...REPORT CARDS will be sent home on Wednesday, March 30. Please be sure to send your appointment request form back by Monday, March 28 so the teachers can schedule your appointment for your parent/teacher/student interview.
All around the globe, EARTH DAY will be celebrated tomorrow, MARCH 26, 2011. "Earth Hour" will be from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Please be sure to shut off your lights, computer, T.V., and any other device that requires electricity. This is a world wide initiative to save energy and raise awareness of global warming. Whole cities across the planet will be in the dark for that hour so let's do our part!!
The Harcourt Home and School Association will be having a meeting on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 6:30 pm. All are encouraged to attend as they will be discussing the details of the year's major fundraiser "Men's Night Out". This event is the most important one of the school year, with proceeds going to keeping the Hot Lunch Program running. Everyone's help is needed and appreciated!
The PSSC meeting has been rescheduled to Thursday, February 24 at 6:30 pm. The Home and School meeting has been rescheduled for the same night, February 24, but has been pushed back one hour until 7:30 pm.
Everyone is welcome to attend both meetings.
