ASD-North Superintendent Beth Stymiest has informed us that due to the number of snow days this school year, May 8th
(which was slated to be a Professional Learning Day) will now be an instructional day for students.
The staff would like to send a huge "THANK YOU" to everyone who provided all the treats last week for Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week. They, and the awesome lunch on Thursday, were very much appreciated!
Our three Educational Assistants , Lorena Joseph, Lorraine Whalen and Julia Murray, were recently recognized by the New Brunswick Association for Community Living with a "National Recognition" Certificate at the National Inclusive Education Awards Ceremony. The ceremony was held in Fredericton at the Government House. We are very proud of the work these ladies do, and the care they provide the students at Harcourt School.
There will be no classes for students on Friday, February 13, 2015. This is a Professional Development day for teachers.
Also, the students will be celebrating Valentine's Day on Thursday afternoon, February 12, 2015.
Report cards will be going home with students on Wednesday, November 19. The parent/teacher interviews will be on Thursday, November 20nd in the late afternoon and Friday, November 21st in the morning. There will be NO CLASSES for students on Friday, November 21st. Your appointment time will be attached to your child's report card.
The students will be having their Halloween Party on Friday, October 31st in the afternoon. There will be a costume parade, games and, of course, treats!
There will be prizes for best costumes in each grade. Remember, it's not just the costumes being judged, it's the actions that go with it too.
Welcome back to Harcourt School. It's going to be another awesome year. We have lots of new faces this year.
On behalf of all the students and staff, we would like to give a Huge Welcome to our new principal KEVIN SCULLY! Mr. Scully comes to us from EWG Middle School in Rexton. He has lots of great ideas and his enthusiasm is infectious. Stay tuned for upcoming news and events.
The staff and students would like to wish our principal, Tammy Gregan, good luck and best wishes as she leaves our school to work in the Miramichi region. She has been with us for several years, the past two as principal. She has brought her knowledge, experience and love for her work to our school and she will be missed.
