A few weeks ago, we (2-3s) went outside a gathered soil from different areas around the school. We investigated the soil and made observations about what we saw, regarding what was in it, the color, texture, etc.  We then planted flower seeds in each sample to see which sample would provide the seed with the nutrients it needs to grow.  We are still waiting for our flowers to grow!!!!
