Bus Transportation

Posted: October 21, 2020

Good morning Parents and guardians,

There was a message sent out on the Anglophone North website on August 28 regarding student transportation information.
In the past, we were able to accommodate the need to have children dropped off at a babysitter's home or at a friend's house because of arrangements made for the care of our children.
Due to the Covid virus, there have been new policy updates of which were included on the August 28th post.
I personally understand, and district realizes that living arrangements and life in general often is difficult at best and we need to have a bit of latitude when dealing with policy and rules and how they may affect each family differently due to unique and personal circumstances.
That being said; and after speaking directly to the transportation director, I have been clearly informed of the strict new policy.
I will quote from the posted transcript and will repost this information on our district website for Harcourt school.

"During this time, as a result of reduced bus capacity, schools will not be able to accommodate any requests for alternate bus stops or bus passes. Students will have one pick-up point and one drop-off point , the same for every day of the week."
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you
