After reading the story, How to Catch an Elf, the kids at Harcourt school were giving a STEM challenge. Multiage groups (K-5) were created and their task was to use random materials to build an elf trap. There were given one hour to plan, design and create their product. After the hour was up, each group presented their trap. It was a fun filled afternoon where kids were working and learning from each other. It always seems to amaze us on how well the event turns out.
