Art with a Twist!

Everyone who knows me, knows Van Gogh's The Starry Starry Night is my absolute favorite piece of art and every year I used it for inspiration when developing lessons. This year the grades 3-5 class got the opportunity to experience that inspiration! However, it wasn't an ordinary lesson. Think about Van Gogh and Dr. Seuss, how could you possible tie these two together? Well here is it! "Dr. Van Suess the Christmas Night" (one of the students named this piece) Students created a starry starry night background, with the foreground being whimsical Christmas tree from Dr. Seuss. They turned out amazing! Check out our photo gallery for more pictures!
