The Miramichi Kinsmen and Anglophone North School District are pleased to accept film entries for the Third Annual Kin Film Festival. All students in ASD-N are invited to participate. Students may submit films in one or both of the two categories. The first category is the Kin Category. Films in this category will address the theme “Doing the Right Thing”. The second category is the Open Category. Films of any genre or subject matter can be submitted to this category. The top films selected in each category will be screened.
April 21 to 27 is National Volunteer Week. The students and staff of Harcourt School would like to say a huge "THANK YOU" to all their amazing volunteers. Without you, Harcourt School would not be the awesome place it is for our students (and staff). Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
WEEK #4: Food Safety at Lunch Time
for Keeping Lunch Safe:Always wash hands
before preparing or eating lunch. This is the one of best ways to prevent
food spoilage and contamination.Keep cold foods cold. Keep hot foods hot. Clean all lunch boxes,
thermal bags, plastic utensils and containers in hot soapy water. DO NOT

WEEK #3: Drinks – Keeping Lunch Healthy
Dietitians of Canada recommends:Children 1 to 8 years old get 6 cups of fluid per day.
9 to 13 years old girls should get between 8-9 cups per day.
9 to 13 year old boys should get between 10-13 cups per day.

Children can also help with grocery shopping and suggestions
for lunch items.
Include stickers, notes or cartoons in lunch box to brighten up
Convenience lunch packs (ie. Lunchables) are easy but they may
be high in fat, sugar and salt. So why not make your own.
Jazz up your children’s homemade lunch pack with colourful
packages, or lunch bags to make it fun.
