This is "National Volunteer Week" (April 10 - 16). The students and staff want to send a huge "THANK YOU" to all the amazing volunteers here at Harcourt School. There is not a more hard working, dedicated, caring group of people anywhere. For all you do, and there are too many things to mention, we say THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts!
There will be no classes for students next Thursday, March 31 and Friday, April 1 due to curriculum implementation and professional develpment days for teachers. Enjoy your long week-end!!!
Also ...REPORT CARDS will be sent home on Wednesday, March 30. Please be sure to send your appointment request form back by Monday, March 28 so the teachers can schedule your appointment for your parent/teacher/student interview.
All around the globe, EARTH DAY will be celebrated tomorrow, MARCH 26, 2011. "Earth Hour" will be from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Please be sure to shut off your lights, computer, T.V., and any other device that requires electricity. This is a world wide initiative to save energy and raise awareness of global warming. Whole cities across the planet will be in the dark for that hour so let's do our part!!
The Harcourt Home and School Association will be having a meeting on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 6:30 pm. All are encouraged to attend as they will be discussing the details of the year's major fundraiser "Men's Night Out". This event is the most important one of the school year, with proceeds going to keeping the Hot Lunch Program running. Everyone's help is needed and appreciated!
The PSSC meeting has been rescheduled to Thursday, February 24 at 6:30 pm. The Home and School meeting has been rescheduled for the same night, February 24, but has been pushed back one hour until 7:30 pm.
Everyone is welcome to attend both meetings.
Harcourt School will be having their "Valentine's Day" party/dance on Monday, February 14 in the afternoon. Please feel free to send in snacks/treats for your child's classroom. If your child would like to exchange Valentines with his/her friends, the students names are on the back of the notice that was sent home. If you have any questions, please call the school.
